Wise/Revolut Proof of Address: Preparing Valid Statements

Last Updated: April 2026
Read Time: 6 mins

Proof-of-address review is about document authenticity, name consistency, address visibility, and issue date. A clean original PDF is safer than any edited screenshot or reconstructed file.

Use original statements that match your profile

Download the statement directly from the provider app or website. It should show your full name, address, provider name, issue date, and account details where applicable.

Do not crop, merge, edit, or add address information manually. If the address is missing or outdated, update it with the provider first and wait for a valid statement.

If a statement is rejected, read the rejection reason before resubmitting. Repeatedly uploading the same unsuitable file can slow review.

Evidence package

Keep the original PDF, rejection message, date of issue, and any support response that lists accepted document types.

If you live across multiple jurisdictions, use the address that matches your current legal and platform profile rather than trying to force a convenient document.

Risk boundaries

This guide is general information, not legal, tax, investment, or account-recovery advice. If a transaction involves third-party funds, fraud reports, gambling, money laundering, sanctions, or unknown counterparties, stop the transaction and contact the bank, the platform's official support channel, or a qualified professional.

Do not share passwords, 2FA codes, seed phrases, private keys, full card numbers, or remote access. A legitimate support process should not require secret credentials.

Field Notes: Proof of Address Must Prove Residence, Not Just Account Ownership

For Wise, Revolut, or other fintech statements, check whether the platform accepts the issuer category before uploading. The document should show your legal name, full residential address, issue date, and issuer details. A card statement without address, a screenshot with cropped edges, or a transaction export may not satisfy a PoA request.

If your address format differs across documents, add a short explanation in the support form and keep the original PDF unchanged. Do not edit the PDF to make it “match”; altered statements can turn a solvable documentation issue into a trust issue.
