iPhone Camera Verification Stuck: Safe Troubleshooting Checklist

Last Updated: April 2026

A live verification flow can stall because of camera permission, browser handoff, network interruption, lighting, or app cache. Treat it as a technical troubleshooting case, not a reason to alter identity data.

Check camera permissions and capture conditions first

Update the app and operating system, confirm camera permission, close screen recorders or overlays, and retry on a stable network.

Use even lighting, remove hats or reflective glasses when requested, and keep the device steady until the flow confirms completion.

If mobile verification keeps failing, try the officially supported web or desktop flow if the platform offers one, then open support with the error details.

Evidence package

Record the app version, device model, OS version, time of failure, and exact error message.

Do not install remote-control tools or unofficial APK/profile files to complete identity verification.

Risk boundaries

This guide is general information, not legal, tax, investment, or account-recovery advice. If a transaction involves third-party funds, fraud reports, gambling, money laundering, sanctions, or unknown counterparties, stop the transaction and contact the bank, the platform's official support channel, or a qualified professional.

Do not share passwords, 2FA codes, seed phrases, private keys, full card numbers, or remote access. A legitimate support process should not require secret credentials.

Field Notes: Separate Camera Failure From Identity Failure

On iPhone, first test whether the camera flow itself is failing: update iOS, allow camera access, disable content blockers for the session, avoid low-power mode, and retry on a stable network. If the same document works on desktop upload but liveness fails on mobile, document the device model, iOS version, browser/app version, and exact screen where the flow stops.

Do not send a selfie video, screen recording, or ID photo to a person in chat who claims they can “push” verification. Liveness checks should happen only inside the official app or website. If the account has repeated failures, open one support ticket and keep all updates in the same thread so the review team can see the history.
